The Create Properties task is for creating properties for use in downstream tasks. All workflow properties should have these parameters set:
- Type - The type specification is required to configure the workflow property to accept values of the specified type.
It can be one of the following:
- Text
- Number
- URL
- Property Name - A name to identify the property. This is how the created value will be referred to in later workflow steps. They can be of type text, email or number. Enter a property name or select a previously set property name that can be modified from the dropdown.
- Property Value - This can be text that also contains properties that were defined earlier in the workflow. You can modify the previously set values. Acceptable properties will be available in the dropdown.
Before You Begin
You need to create a workflow.Create Workflow Properties
- In the workflow builder, click the + below an existing step.
- Choose Logic, then Create Properties.
- Click on the task.
- In the General Configuration tab, you can enter a task label and description.
- In the Create Properties window:
- Click in the Type dropdown and select the property type.
- Enter a Property Name or select one from the dropdown. Property name validation occurs on entering a property name to guide in the creation of valid property names.
- Enter a Property Value or select one from the dropdown.
- To add another property, click Add Property and fill out its type, property name, and property value to define it. Repeat this process for adding additional properties.
- After configuring the properties, click <- Return to Workflow Model.
